This saturday more than 150 residents descended on Atherfold Road for a street party organised by the Atherfold and Hemberton Residents Association. The event was put on to raise funds for the community garden they have recently begun work on, as well as to bring residents together. The day was a resounding success with people donating money to pitch stalls with all proceeds going back to the TRA. Wares on offer included local handmade crafts, plants and flowers, exotic fruit and vegetables and smoothies among other things. Entertainment was laid on by a local tango band and Lambeth play workers were in attendace making masks with the children, as were the Larkhall Safer Neighbourhoods Team and the Fire Service to offer advice and join in with the day.
